McCurdy's Armor® Displayed at ExpoDefensa in Bogota, Colombia

DDM and its sister company, IDT, were proud to display McCurdy's Armor® at ExpoDefensa, a three-day tradeshow held in Bogota, Colombia. The event showcased the latest innovations in defense and security products.

In attendance were DDM/IDT sales representatives for Colombia, Alberto Sua of Sua Systems & Solutions and Col. (RA) Hugo Bahamon Dussan.

 


IDT to Participate in U.S. Army's Annual Spiral H Experiment

DDM's sister company, International Defense Technologies, LLC, (IDT), has been selected to provide McCurdy's Armor® (through DDM), the LRAD 500X (through LRAD), and Maxabeam Search Light (through Peak Beam Systems) for use in Spiral H, an annual experiment sponsored by the Army Capabilities Integration Center. The Spiral H experiment provides capability developers as well as members of the science/technology community with an operational venue for experimenting with technologies primarily focused on the soldier and small unit. The Army will use IDT technologies in the experiment to identify and asses mounted and dismounted systems that enhance non-lethal capabilities, mobility, and force protection for soldiers and small units.



DDM to Attend The Afghanistan Summit in Dubai, U.A.E.

DDM will be a Gold Sponsor and attend The Afghanistan Summit (TAS) which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Dubai hotel, United Arab Emirates. The summit will welcome key figures and sector leaders in their efforts to promote Investment and Economic Development across Afghanistan, with support from the Government of Afghanistan, senior members of U.S. and Coalition Forces, UN Agencies and Industry Associations active in the region.



DDM Raises Funds and Awareness for Wounded Soldiers and their Families

DDM was proud to sponsor and participate in the 5th annual Walk for the Wounded. Hosted by Operation First Response, the walk raised funds to assist with the financial, medical, and emotional challenges of wounded soldiers and their families.



DDM Chosen to Participate in First International Trade Mission to Afghanistan

Dynamic Defense Materials, LLC was recently chosen to participate in the first international trade mission to Kabul, Afghanistan.  Led by Francisco Sánchez, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, the mission included representatives from 12 U.S. businesses in the construction, mining, agribusiness and information technology sectors. 

All businesses in attendance shared the common goal of seeking to play a role in the rebuilding of Afghanistan.  The mission helped U.S. companies explore long term business opportunities in Afghanistan and enhance U.S.-Afghan commercial relations by providing participants with first-hand market information and access to government decision makers. 

DDM was one of the few companies involved in the mission that is currently doing business in Afghanistan.  Upon walking off the plane at Kabul Airport, Joe Dimond, General Manager for DDM, was greeted by McCurdy's Armor® kits being used for protection at the airport.

During the mission, DDM and International Defense Technologies were able to finalize agreements with new partners in Kabul.  As a result, the companies now have permanent representation in Afghanistan supporting their efforts to help make it a safer place not only for the Afghan people, but also for foreign investors who are committed to making Afghanistan a prosperous and peaceful nation.



DDM a Proud Sponsor of Walk for the Wounded

DDM is proud to be a sponsor of the 5th annual Walk for the Wounded, hosted by Operation First Response at Rose Tree Park in Media, PA.  The walk will serve to raise funds for wounded soldiers and their families who are facing significant financial, medical, and emotional challenges.  This family fun day will feature live bands, military vehicles, apache helicopters, and dozens of children’s activities as well as a motorcycle and classic car show.

Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting

Dynamic Defense Materials attended the Annual AUSA meeting at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.  The event featured over 600 industry and Army displays as well as informative Institute of Land Warfare Forum presentations.


WIA–KIA MEMORIAL 5K RUN AND FAMILY WALK


Through the combined efforts of Marlton Assembly of God and the Medford Returning Veterans Committee, the WIA-KIA Memorial 5K Run and Family Walk gave people at home the opportunity to show their support for the military men and women that have defended our freedom in conflicts abroad, particularly in the post-911 era.

Dynamic Defense Materials was proud to participate in the event at Freedom Park in Medford, NJ.  Proceeds from the event were donated to the Medford Returning Veterans Committee for the construction of a permanent monument to honor those Burlington County military heroes killed in action post the Vietnam conflict.

Force Protection Equipment Demonstration (FPED)

The Force Protection Equipment Demonstration, which Dynamic Defense Materials at the Stafford Regional Airport in Stafford, VA, brought together DoD and Federal leaders from around the world and put them in contact with manufacturers who may have equipment solutions for their physical security and force protection needs.

 

Special Operations Forces Industry Conferences (SOFIC)

Known as the defense industry’s premier event, the Special Operations Forces Industry Conferences focused on advancing defense industry technology solutions to evolving Special Operations Forces warfare needs. Dynamic Defense Materials was among one of over 350 exhibitors at the Tampa Convention Center, in Tampa, FL.  The event attracted over 7,000 attendees from government, industry and academia.

    

Afghanistan Reconstruction Summit

The objective of the Afghanistan Reconstruction Summit is to allow each individual ministry, military branch and/or MGO the opportunity to present their current challenges, detail the help and assistance they need, and inform attendees how the international commercial sector can help them achieve their goals.  Dynamic Defense Materials attended the summit at the Hamra Hotel and Resort in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
